Common Rail Type High Pressure Fuel Injection System Cooled EGR System Turbo Engine with Inter-Cooler
The system is equipped with a common rail type high-compression fuel injection system, which permits high-precision injection from multiple injection under ultra high-pressure of more than 1600 atm. Precise control of injection time and injection quality at that rate of 1/1000 second optimizes combustion, improves combustion efficiency, and reduces PM (particulate matter) substantially. The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) mixes the gas, which is once exhausted, with the air that is taken in so as to lower the combustion temperature, thereby reducing NOx (nitrogen oxide). Adoption of the cooled EGR system, in which a water-cooling cooler is installed in the middle of the re-circulation pipe, permits further decrease in the suction temperature, ensuring a better NOx reduction effect than the ordinary EGR. When the inter-cooler cools the intake air, which is compressed by a turbocharger and has reached a high temperature, the density of the air increases and the suction efficiency increases. Therefore, NOx and PM can be reduced substantially, permitting high output and improvement of fuel efficiency simultaneously.

In-wheel-motor  
This is a direct HST drive running motor that is installed inside left and right side wheels. It is an engine structure that does not require a chain, so trouble caused as result of the chain breaking is avoided, providing safety and peace of mind for the operator. There is also no back-rush, which can be caused by chain drives. This allows it to work in combination with the parallel 4WD system, and provides smooth operation both when initiating forward movement and when coming to a stop.  
Automatic screed lock and soft-start functions  
When paving operations are temporarily suspended, while waiting for asphalt materials etc, the automatic lock device is activated, and the lift cylinder prevents (holds) the screed from sinking into the surface. When operations are resumed, the computer controlled soft-start function is automatically activated and the machinery can move forward without leaving screed marks.  
High-durability radial tires with a powerful grip are installed  
In order to actively reduce the unusual wearing of rear wheel tire shape due to pressure from heavy loads, radial tires with a powerful grip and excellent durability have been installed.
The 4WD with parallel drive system makes the front and rear wheels start rotation exactly simultaneously.  
The parallel drive system is adopted for controlling the simultaneous rotation of the front and rear wheels by means of the travel speed controller. Even when requiring great driving force at start, the front and rear wheels start rotation exactly simultaneously. This prevents slipping of the front wheel, and makes a smooth starting motion possible. Furthermore, thanks to the use of a speed feedback control, speed fluctuations caused by changes in weight of load are kept to a minimum, and powerful traction force is provided while always assuring stable travel.

Two modes of travel speed  
The required speed can be attained by the simple operation of a switch on the travel volume dial. This also makes running control of the accelerator and brake possible. Thanks to options being selected just by the turn of a switch, stick-shift gear-lever operation is not required, and concerns over the engine unintentionally being put into neutral are eliminated.

●High-speed (0~8km/h)
 A mode designed for high-speed travel (when non-operational), which
 automatically adjusts speed.
●Low-speed 2WD (1.5~12m/min)
 A mode designed for paving speeds (precision movement), which is
  rear-wheel drive only.
●Low-speed 4WD (1.5~12m/min)
 A mode designed for paving speeds (precision movement), which
 provides powerful traction force through 4 wheel drive.
 
Tires can be changed with the screed arm still attached  
If a rear wheel tire punctures, it can be changed with the screed and screed arm still attached by raising the screed lift cylinder and levering cylinder to their maximum heights.  
Storage space for the retaining plate in the hopper section  
The retaining plates can be stowed in the hopper. The main retaining plate can be stowed in the rear part of the hopper, and the extension plate can be stowed in the hopper's underside.  
Holes for attaching wires to secure the main body during transit  
Holes that allow wires and ropes etc to be attached have been built into the design, so that the main body can be secured when being transported in lifting.  
Extension screw storage hold  
Storage brackets for the extension screws have been built into the design. They are located behind the front wheels on left and right sides of the vehicle.
