| Common Rail Type High Pressure Fuel Injection System |
Cooled EGR System |
Turbo Engine with Inter-Cooler |
| The system is equipped with a common rail type high-compression fuel injection system, which permits high-precision injection from multiple injection under ultra high-pressure of more than 1600 atm. Precise control of injection time and injection quality at that rate of 1/1000 second optimizes combustion, improves combustion efficiency, and reduces PM (particulate matter) substantially.
The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) mixes the gas, which is once exhausted, with the air that is taken in so as to lower the combustion temperature, thereby reducing NOx (nitrogen oxide). Adoption of the cooled EGR system, in which a water-cooling cooler is installed in the middle of the re-circulation pipe, permits further decrease in the suction temperature, ensuring a better NOx reduction effect than the ordinary EGR. |
When the inter-cooler cools the intake air, which is compressed by a turbocharger and has reached a high temperature, the density of the air increases and the suction efficiency increases. Therefore, NOx and PM can be reduced substantially, permitting high output and improvement of fuel efficiency simultaneously.

In-shoe motor |
| The traveling motor is adopted a direct HST drive installed inside left and right side sprockets. It is a structure that does not require the use of a drive chain, so extra labor created by chain adjustments is eliminated. This means that asphalt paving can be carried out in the assurance that traveling stoppage caused by the chain breaking will not occur.

Adopting the latest travel control system |
The engine, hydraulic pumps, and traveling motor are centrally controlled with fine precision by a computer. In addition, settings are stored in the computer's memory, so asphalt paving can be carried out simply by turning the traveling switch to "on" or "off". The HA60C's controller contains the following special features
1.Fluctuations of speed due to changes in the
weight of load do not occur, so paving
smoothness is improved.
2.Deviations from the set course caused by
changes in the weight of load are very small,
so unevenness in forward movement is
reduced to an absolute minimum.
3.Paving speed can be set to a minimum of 1.5m/
min. It is adaptable to all kinds of construction.
4.At the start of construction works, a control
function is used to achieve a soft-start.
5.Paving speeds can be set and altered even
when at a standing stop.
Harnessing superior movement stability |
| By using the latest feedback control technology, deviations from the set course are kept to just 0.2%, which means operators are freed from the troublesome task of making steering corrections. During asphalt paving, the status and weight of loads on left and right sides is continually monitored, so that even for jobs requiring large quantities of materials to be carried on one side, the course and speed settings are automatically maintained by the control system. |
Smooth steering realized through the computer control |
| Differing from the quasi-curve steering created by one-sided braking, the vehicle is automatically controlled, with left and right side traveling speeds being set to curve in a continuous smooth arc. Both traveling drives are active even when running in a curve, so there is no need to be concerned about losing traction force or operational capacity. |

Liquid crystal monitor panel displaying all kinds of information |
| Information can be observed through text and graphics. |
●Adoption of a digital speed meter
During paving operations (low speed mode) the
set speed is displayed.
During transit (high speed mode) traveling speed
is displayed.
●Engine revolution counter is displayed
●In addition to the angles of the operational turning
lever being visually displayed, the steerage
angles are shown as a 7-level bar graph, allo-
wing the operator to control the degrees of steer.
●A service monitor displays the condition of the
engine at a glance |
Extension screw storage hold |
| A storage hold for the extension screws has been built in above the paver floor. |
Utilization of a link-shoe that adopts durable rubber pads |
| The link-shoe utilizes rubber pads, which can run on road surfaces that have already been set without marking them. In addition, the link adopts a high durability strut structure. |
Improvements to smoothness attained by superior surface contact |
| The bottom section roller is a vibrator type, which is able to absorb uneven features on the road surface, such as manholes etc. It improves smoothness by traveling with an excellently adapted surface contact system. |
Foldaway retaining plate |
| This is a folding type retaining plate, which can be stowed away in the many body of the vehicle. |
Holes for attaching wires to secure the main body during transit |
| Holes that allow wires and ropes etc to be attached have been built into the design, so that the main body can be secured when being transported.
Spin-turn function installed |
A spin-turn function has been installed, so construction is made easy, even on cramped work-sites. Even on sites where there is a dead end, paving up to the area's full length can be completed, with the vehicle able to exit sideways. This greatly improves operational efficiency.
※From the new HA60C model onwards, the operation method of the spin-turn function has been changed to pressing a button and operating the steering bar.
Automatic screed-lock and soft-start functions |
| When surfacing operations are temporarily suspended, while waiting for asphalt materials etc, the automatic lock device is activated, and the lift cylinder prevents (holds) the screed from sinking into the surface. When operations are resumed, the computer controlled soft-start function is automatically activated and the machinery can move forward without leaving screed marks.
